Tax relocation in Ireland

Not examined in detail. British nationality and UK residence must not be conflated.

Residence rights

British and Irish citizens have reciprocal rights to live and work under the Common Travel Area. UK residence alone does not confer those citizenship-based rights; family members who are neither British nor Irish need their own assessment. Ireland’s Immigrant Investor Programme closed to new applications in February 2023.

Second citizenship

Residence permission does not confer citizenship. Any later nationality application is a separate process.

This is a brief route overview, not a complete tax or immigration assessment. Confirm current rules and your circumstances before committing funds or moving.
